Marco Marinucci is a post-doc fellow in social psychology. His main research interests focus on social exclusion, social connectedness, and belongingness among disadvantaged social groups, such as asylum-seekers, refugees, and homeless people.
He investigates individual, social, and situational factors that influence individuals’ responses to persistent social exclusion, either aggravating or protecting from its negative consequences. Relatedly, he is interested in researching intergroup relations and dynamics that foster social inclusion and cohesion, such as intergroup social connections and identification.
